1. Members Present:
Cllr Sue Simpson (Chair): Cllr C Bradford, (CB) Cllr P Garrad, (PG) Cllr A Proctor, (AP) Cllr M Rust (MR) Committee members Mrs Jan Ward (JW), Mr Trevor Ward (TW), and John Seymour
Clerk/Note Taker – Mrs M Clarke.
2. Apologies
Cllr A Murgatroyd, Cllr C Alexander, and Cllr I Hyde.
3.Declarations of Interest
No interests were registered.
4. Minutes of the Meeting held July 11th, 2023
The minutes were read and agreed – proposed by TR and Seconded by MR – all resolved to approve.
5. Finance report
Lottery spend to date £7132.95 leaving a balance of £617.05
Hall spend to date £657 leaving 1343.00
Cheque pending signature - £360.00 Webs Banners
£100.00 first prize – raffle
Both of these are included in the figures above.
Not yet included are the costs of printing the photos for voting at the Show.
Floats will be funded from the hall budget
The donation from Mr Worth towards the flooring costs for the Marquee has been transferred to the Council for the Council to make the purchase in support of the Hall Committee for the Village Show.
Payments in total £247.01 from hall hire, return of float and underspend on Activities.
6. Working Groups:
Lunch Club – next lunch date is September 13th.
June surplus £203.50
Car Boots – have raised £480.00 for hall funds but have now ceased for the year due to poor weather resulting in low attendance.
7. The Village Show.
The notes from the Events Committee from the previous week are attached as Appendix A with a further meeting to follow on from the Committee meeting
8. Correspondence
TENS licence has been received.
9. Future Meetings.
The date agreed for the next meeting is 3rd October at 2.30pm to follow on from Events meeting.
The Chair SS thanked everyone for attending and their input and closed the meeting at 2.50pm
