Funding Approved....
The UKSPF Grassroots fund has approved our funding application to further develop the Orchard we are so pleased to be able to say.....and more importantly we have received the funding into the bank account this month.
With the addition of an earlier donation of £700.00 from National Grid ( whom we lease the area from on a rolling annual basis) which covered the cost of creating the path through the Orchard and further support from LCC and their contractors the whole area is looking finished and attractive. Ongoing maintenance is now the order of the day.
Further plans include raised beds and an involvement in geo-caching so keep an eye out for further news.....and more importantly please go and use the space. It is for the whole Community and it has been lovely to go past and see people sat on the seat just enjoying the peace and space. We all need a quiet place sometimes to just contemplate - give it a try...
