 Horticultural Competition

Sunday 17th September 2023

The competition is open to all ages with the exception of professional growers, or relatives of the judging panel. Allotment owners are welcomed. Junior submissions (16 and under) must have their parent or responsible adult’s permission to enter, but are also welcomed.

There are no limitations to the number of classes that can be entered and won. Certificates will be given to the winners of all classes. There is a small submission charge of 20p per class entered, payable with the entry form.

The Judge’s decision on the day is final.

The following list of possible varieties is based on those vegetables and fruit that are on average mid-season on the 17th of September. The list includes varieties that can be grown in the greenhouse to widen the opportunity and choice.
