Wainfleet St Mary Village Show.....the first!!

With the aid of a National Lottery Grant bid for by the Community Hall Committee - this first Village show is for all the village and community designed to bring traditional styles and new technology together for all to enjoy - from growing the tallest sunflower to photos with a mobile phone to growing the best and tastiest veg, traditional crafts and baking....just a day of fun and enjoyment

The Sunflower, Rock Painting, Cake and Crafts and Mobile phone competiton have their own pages with the guidelines and rules - Give them a go....it's all about having fun and taking part and who knows - you could be the winner....!!

Sunday September 17th is the day...the time is from 13.00 and the schedule is as below.....

BASIC SHOW RULES

Enter the Show by completing an entry form - there is a separate page to download or just ask the Clerk for a copy - tel 07873 321590 or email wsmpclerk@btinternet.com

Email the form or send a printed form to the Show Secretary - c/o The Community Hall, St Michael's Lane, WSM, PE24 4HB - or email to wsmpclerk@btinternet.com  by Wednesday 13th September 2023. 

The Show Day starts at 8.30am when you bring your produce to the Community Hall - Please ensure you have your entries in by 10.00am as judging starts at 10.30am

You collect (at the entrance to the Village Hall) an entry card for each Class you have entered. 

Each Class will have a numbered table.

You place your entry card for that Class, face down at the base of your entry. 

The judges will use this card to note any comments about your exhibit and award prizes! 

If you know the name of the particular variety of your exhibit you are encouraged to write this on a card and display it alongside your exhibit. 

All exhibts must be in place by 10.00am for the judging to commence at 10.30.

The Show will be open to the general public at 1.00 pm for anyone to come and view the exhibits. 

At 4.00 pm the Awards will be made, Raffle Drawn and any exhibits not removed will be auctioned off. 

A Schedule of Classes will be published listing the Classes for the Show.

All exhibits to be grown, produced, or made by the Exhibitor. 

Entries cannot show any name or marking that would identify the entrant to the Judges. 

Any exhibits not removed by 3.30 pm on the day of the Show shall be deemed to become a gift from the exhibitor and will normally be disposed of by auction for the benefit of the Community Hall.

Judges are appointed by the Committee and may at their discretion cut, taste, or otherwise test any exhibit.  The judges shall disqualify any exhibit which does not conform to the requirements of the Schedule.  They have discretion to award up to but not exceeding 3 prizes for each Class.
