A Warm Welcome to Our Fourth Annual Village Show
Welcome to our fourth annual Wainfleet St Mary Village Show.
What began just a few short years ago as an idea around a table has quickly grown into a much-loved date in our village calendar. Each year it becomes something a little bigger, a little brighter, and a little more special — and that is entirely down to the people who make it happen and the community who support it.
The Show is organised by our wonderful Community Hall Committee — a small but mighty group of volunteers who begin planning almost as soon as the last tent has been packed away. They give their time, energy and enthusiasm freely, simply because they care deeply about our village. On behalf of the Parish Council, I would like to offer them our heartfelt thanks for the dedication they show year after year.
But this event — and indeed our Community Hall itself — belongs to all of you.
Over the past year we have seen more and more residents using the hall and field for meetings, celebrations, social groups and community activities. It is a real joy to see the building and grounds so well used — filled with laughter, conversation and life. That growing involvement tells us something important: our village thrives when we come together.
One of the things that makes our Parish Council and Community Hall Committee a little different is who we are. We are not all the same — far from it. We come from different backgrounds, experiences and walks of life. What unites us is simple: we set aside egos and personal agendas and work as a team for the good of Wainfleet St Mary. We are volunteers who genuinely care about improving services, creating opportunities and supporting the people who live here.
We always welcome new ideas, new faces and new energy. If you have a thought about how we can make our community even better, please do come and talk to us. Our meetings are open, friendly and informal — and we truly enjoy meeting residents who share an interest in village life.
